There are two cemeteries in Titus County that use the name "Williams". Since this one was sometimes called "Glass Cemetery", it was decided to use Williams-Glass for this one and call the other simply "Williams".
Williams-Glass is a small family cemetery in rural north Titus County that sits on private property at the crest of a hill in a pasture. The cemetery and the chain link fence surrounding it are in good condition. A large pine tree covers the cemetery. Several monuments show that Williams and Glass family members are buried there.
DRIVING DIRECTIONS FROM THE TITUS COUNTY COURTHOUSE:
Travel 1.4 miles North on North Jefferson Street (Business U.S. 271) to its intersection with Burton Road (the South service road of Interstate 30). Turn right (east) onto Burton Road and continue 0.5 miles to the intersection with FM 1402 (Harts Bluff Road). Turn left (north) on FM 1402 and proceed 3.3 miles to the intersection of County Road 3240. After 0.4 miles County Road 3245 intersects from the North. Turn left (north) on CR 3245 and proceed for 1.4 miles. The cemetery lies on the left about 200 yards out in the pasture. You must cross a ravine and stock tank overflow branch that is south of the cemetery.
