Rountree Cemetery is located in the Argo Community of rural Northeast Titus County. James Sylvester Rountree founded the cemetery in the 1880s as a family cemetery. It is fenced and well maintained. The cemetery gate is topped by a large arch with the Rountree/Embrey name. There is considerable empty space within the fence and it is impossible to tell how many are buried there. In addition to the monuments listed, there is only one native rock that probably marks another grave.
