The William Cook Cemetery is a medium sized cemetery located in Southeast Titus County on private land that has belonged to the Cook Family since the original headright survey.
The William Cook Cemetery is surrounded by woods and was once badly overgrown, but family members have cleared the underbrush and the cemetery is relatively clean. Twenty eight native rock markers were counted during the survey. Many others have most likely been submerged by the natural decaying vegetation and the incursion of cattle that have access to the cemetery. One funeral home marker was found on the site. The only remaining monument has been toppled and is lying horizontal on the ground with subsequent rapid deterioration. This is a very significant cemetery because of the uniqueness of the rock cairn that dominates the cemetery.
