Titus County, Texas Cemetery Search

Blundis Cemetery is a newly established African-American cemetery located in rural southwestern Titus County. A chain link fence protects the well-maintained grounds on the west side of the Blundis Creek Baptist Church. The cemetery is quite large and should accommodate future growth.

Grave sites are indicated by depressions, rocks, a wooden cross between two Jeffery graves, another wooden cross, an unmarked but decorated area, and 12 unreadable Funeral Home Markers in addition to graves marked by monuments.

DRIVING DIRECTIONS FROM THE TITUS COUNTY COURTHOUSE:

A locked gate across Titus County Road 2475 now restricts access to Blundell and Blundis Cemeteries to prevent vandalism. Call Neal Jones at 903-572-5883 to arrange access before traveling to the cemetery.

Travel 0.5 mile west on West First Street to the intersection of Ferguson Road (U.S. Highway 271). Veer left and cross the intersection at the traffic light onto South O'Tyson Street which becomes Texas FM 127. Travel 6 miles south on FM 127. Turn left onto County Road 2475 and travel 0.3 miles. The Blundis Cemetery lies about 100 yards on the left side of the road past the Blundell Cemetery.
